It's finally here.  The presentation of the very first Foodquest Platinum Award.  The pinnacle of what the search is all about.  Believe in the food folks, it doesn't get any better than this...

In true Foodquest fashion, our scouts established our presence quietly.  By using three Reido's virgins, Reido had no idea what was planned for the evening.  And we wait...  Patiently biding our time, as we watch the customers get the famous Reido's treatment that keeps them coming back time after time.  No waitress or hostess station in between you and the food.  This comes down to the art of the man and his slider and tonight, he will be honored for all his hard work.

I sneak in the door, trying the hide the award as well as I could without Reido's notice.  Upon his greeting, I strike!

The presentation is accompanied by a victory dance by Reido around the restaurant as surprised patrons look on and cheer his triumph.  Well done Reido and congratulations.  A truer foodie than any out there. The jubilation of the evening is accompanied by a somewhat bittersweet note.  In less than a week, Reido's will be opening its doors for the final time.  Not due to lack of business.  Rather, Reido is being forced to close his doors due to losing his lease.  The owners of the G&M Steakhouse have decided to begin opening in the evening.  As a result, Reido has been shown the door.  The loss of the restaurant is tinged with somewhat of a silver lining.  Reido has already begun searching for a new location with the possibility of opening a restaurant of his own.  Imagine Reido's culinary prowess extended to Breakfast, Lunch as well as Dinner.  His Steaknights are already legendary and something looked forward to by those in the know.  In the final week of operation, we wish Reido the best and hope that luck will prevail.  Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, we stand firmly convinced that someday, Reido's will return.  On behalf of all the many foodies of the Foodquest, thank you Reido for your labor of love.
